What is PostalSuede?

PostalSuede is an exciting new service from the Suede Lane company that delivers original and very limited quantity design products to your doorstep every quarter. By surprise. We handpick beautifully made objects of high quality from new artists and designers around the world. Delivered with free shipping. When was the last time you got a lovely surprise in the mail?

How does this work?

Subscribe by filling out our registration form. After completing registration, your credit card will be charged immediately and thereafter every 3 months or 12 months, depending on the plan you pick. You will be alerted before your subscription is renewed. You can cancel anytime; past payments where products have been delivered cannot be refunded, but you will not be charged for future shipments.

What do you mean, “by surprise”?

While you can rest assured knowing that every box will always contain freshly curated, high-end products of unique or very limited quantity, each shipment will contain different items and the actual items are kept a surprise until you receive them. It’s like celebrating Christmas or your birthday every quarter!

What kind of things can I expect in my giftbox?

You can expect to receive objects such as fine art, fashion accessories, and interior design products. We never send the same things twice and the possibilities are endless!

Do I get to choose the objects in my giftbox?

No, that would ruin the surprise. We may sometimes tell you the type of product being shipped in a certain quarter (for example, an art object), but you will not see exactly which one until it arrives at your door. We consider the preferences stated in your registration profile to help us select something we think you would love. We may also ask for additional preferences later on, especially before sending a shipment with highly customized items.

When will I receive my parcel?

We ship 4 times a year; March, June, September, December. You will receive your first parcel in the quarter closest to your registration date.

Where do you ship?

We ship worldwide, wherever the postman goes.

Can I return my selection?

We travel far and near to find uniquely beautiful products that we believe you will love. In some cases, these items are created or customized by the designers specially for PostalSuede customers. Unfortunately, we do not accept returns but you can most certainly pass them onto someone else who you think might like them.

Is my credit card information safe?

PostalSuede currently uses Paypal to process payments. If there is a problem with your order, you are protected when you pay with PayPal Purchase Protection. See PayPal Purchase Protection Overview for more details.

What if I’m an artist/designer interested in working with you?

Awesome! We are always happy to meet new creators. Please contact us using the information on our “About Us” page and email us directly with pictures or links to your work. We will respond to let you know if we are interested.

Are you a marketplace or flash sales site?

We are not a marketplace or flash sales site.  We carefully select what we sell and do not automatically accept all proposed products.

I’m an artist/designer. Do I have to do the shipping if you select my work?

You are responsible for getting your product to us if selected.  However, once we receive it, you can focus on creating more beautiful objects while we do the rest; market, sell and ship products directly to our customers.

What type of products and artists/designers do you feature?

We are focused exclusively on new and emerging artists and designers from around the world.  Thus, we do not feature products with established, big brands as we are more interested in creators that are not widely known, with products yet to be discovered and stories yet to be heard.
